Main Outputs

  • Drive timeous execution of effective maintenance strategies i.e. planned, preventative, corrective & emergency maintenance
  • Identify maintenance risks on Client’s property & equipment towards evaluation and resolution
  • Implementation of an effective HSE, Quality & Risk Management system in conjunction in accordance to Client needs
  • Ensure optimum utilization of available resources in various maintenance works
  • Ensure timely delivery and appropriateness of parts & spares for effective maintenance execution
  • Continuously monitor & evaluate maintenance work performed by technical staff to ensure quality, cost optimization & timely execution as per SLA, work instructions and Client’s instruction
  • Identify gaps & deficiencies in services, advise & effect solutions as part of Continuous Improvement on FM services rendered
  • Manage back to back SLA agreements with suppliers and contractors
  • Monitor service providers’ (contractors) performance & effect corrective action on any deviations to the SLA
  • Assist in the management of technical projects & provide technical support, where applicable
  • Demonstrate & instill effective adherence to processes on infrastructure maintenance
  • Explore & recommend innovative methods, based on best practices, in order to bring about cost-effective solutions
  • Manage operations within allocated budget
  • Manage technical staff performance and facilitate improvement through regularly monitoring performance & providing required coaching, support and feedback
  • Manage performance & conflicts within subordinate employees & effect corrective actions, in line with company policies/procedure
  • Ensure adequate staff placement i.e. prepare suitable shift-roster & manage/approve applicable leave for subordinate employees
  • Responsible for training, coaching, mentoring & development of technical staff

  • Be deadline driven
  • Be initiating action (innovation) orientated

Qualifications and Skills

The Applicant must meet the following requirements: –

  • Grade 12
  • Code B Driver’s License
  • B-Tech or Degree in Engineering: Mechanical/Electrical/Civil or related formal qualification
  • 5yrs relevant experience in maintenance engineering, CRM & Property Management
  • Knowledge of Soft-service, CRM, Property Management & Financial Management
  • Computer Literacy including Microsoft Office packages
  • SAP knowledge is a must
  • Knowledge of OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management, Risk Management Systems, Property Law & Contractual Law
