Bidvest Facilities Management, a member of the JSE-listed Bidvest group, recently established a new division, called Bidvest Technical Services to focus on the provision of planned and reactive maintenance services in response to demands across the industry.
Bidvest Facilities Management went back to the drawing board to strategise on what they do best, and then looked at marrying these core strengths with current market needs.
The company’s extensive technical skills developed over the years servicing the telecoms industry was identified as their key differentiator, which is backed by a large pool of highly skilled staff, a fleet of over 400 vehicles.
Key to this new division is to bundle technical services so that they provide one point of contact that drives cost efficiencies and savings for clients. In line with this objective, Bidvest Facilities Management has focussed on building in-house capacity and leveraging their MERSETA accredited Technical Training Academy to upskill and multi-skill staff in these areas, so that they can self-perform their offerings.
The range of technical services include planned, ad-hoc and emergency maintenance, repairs, upgrades and replacement for Electrical, HVAC, Fire & Security, Plumbing, Building Fabric and Standby Power.
Key advantages include a totally customer-centric approach and the ease of dealing with a single point of contact for a range of technical services with a company that has over 17 years in experience in this environment.
The contracts are totally flexible and can either be a single service or a customisable combination, and can be upsized or downsized according to the customer’s budget and requirements.
The market has responded well to this new division, especially the option for multiple category items, with the flexibility to bolt on additional services from their comprehensive bouquet of offerings when needed.
Bidvest Facilities Management’s state-of-the-art service desk and 24/7/365 call centre will play an important role in bringing peace-of-mind to customers by providing real-time visibility on customisable dashboards, which can be accessed by any internet-connected device, such as a laptop, mobile phone or tablet.
